How to use Jobshack

Welcome to Jobshack! We are a dedicated business-to-business construction marketplace, specializing in logistics optimization for various grades of soil and topsoil. Here’s a quick guide on how to use our system:

Step 1: Create Your Account

Sign up with your work email address to create your account. It’s quick, easy, and free!

Step 2: List Your Soil, Topsoil or Rock

Click on the ‘New Listing’ button and follow the prompts to list your items. Add an optional official geotechnical engineering proctor sheet to your listing to show its geotechnical features and detailed descriptions to attract buyers.

Step 3: Manage Your Listings

You can edit, delete, or add new listings at any time from your account dashboard. Remember that under your listings, your listing will not be public until you toggle it to ‘Publish.’

Step 4: Communicate with Buyers

Use our secure messaging system to answer questions from potential buyers. The messaging system provides a box that allows users to agree to pricing, quantities, who will be shipping and delivery windows. Once agreed upon between two users, an invoice will be automated for both parties.

Step 5: Complete Transactions

Once a buyer makes a purchase, the payment will be processed through our secure payment system.

Step 6: Ship Your Items

After a successful transaction, you’ll be prompted to import or export material.

Step 7: Receive Your Payouts

Your earnings will be paid out weekly to your bank of choice.

State and Local TaxDetail

The State and Local Tax is calculated based on the buyer’s location. Here’s a general breakdown of how it works:

  1. Determine Tax Jurisdiction:The tax jurisdiction is determined by the buyer’s shipping address. Different states, counties, and cities can have different tax rates.
  2. Determine Tax Jurisdiction:The taxable amount usually includes the price of the item sold and any shipping or handling charges.
  3. Apply Tax Rate:The appropriate tax rate is applied to the taxable amount to calculate the tax due. This rate will vary depending on the tax laws in the buyer’s location.
  4. Add Tax to Transaction Total:The calculated tax is then added to the total amount of the transaction. This total amount (including tax) is what the buyer pays at checkout.

Please note that tax laws can be complex and vary greatly from place to place. We use a sophisticated system to accurately calculate tax based on the latest tax laws and rates. Weekly Payout Process

  1. Balance Payout Transfer:After transaction completion, every week, the balance is transferred from our system to your chosen bank account minus the 3.5%, if you received a transaction, and minus the sales tax.
  2. Bank Processing Time:After the transfer is initiated, it may take a few business days for the funds to appear in your bank account. This is dependent on your bank’s processing times.

Please note that in order to receive payouts, you must have a valid bank account linked to your Jobshack account before receiving a transaction. If you have any issues or further questions about the payout process, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer support team. They’re here to help!

What if I want to change my bank account for payouts?

changing your bank account for payouts is a straightforward process:

  1. Log in to Your Account:Sign in to your Jobshack account.
  2. Navigate to Profile:This is found in the dropdown menu.
  3. Select Payout Settings:Within ‘My Profile’, look for a section ‘Addbank account’ at the bottom.
  4. Update Bank Information:Here, you can remove your current bank account information and enter the details of the new bank account where you want to receive your payouts. Make sure to double-check all the information to avoid any errors.
  5. Save Changes:Save Changes: Don’t forget to save your changes before exiting out of settings.

After you’ve updated your bank account information, your next payout will be sent to the new account. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, please reach out to our customer support team. They’re always ready to help!

If you accidentally enter incorrect bank details, the payout process may be disrupted. Here’s what you can do:

  1. Correct the Information:As soon as you realize the mistake, go back to your payout settings and correct the bank account information. Remember to save the changes.
  2. Contact Customer Support:If a payout has already been initiated to the incorrect account, please contact our customer support team immediately. They can guide you through the necessary steps and help resolve the issue. Email at customer@jobshack.io.
  3. Bank Communication:Depending on the situation, you may also need to contact your bank. If the account number you entered does not exist, the payment will usually bounce back. However, if the account number belongs to someone else, the situation could be more complex and may require direct communication with your bank.
